Increased daily physical activity was associated with better motor performance in patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD) in a study presented at EAN 2022. The findings were independent of disease severity, underscoring the importance of physical activity at all stages of the disease.
In this prospective study, researchers examined the impact of activity level on motor performance and gait in 67 patients with PD. The mean age was 65 years and the mean duration of disease was 3 years.
